NHRC asks govt. for accessible supply of vaccines against COVID-19

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) Chairperson Tapa Bahadur Magar has urged the government to ensure accessible supply of vaccines against corona virus infection to all citizens.
During an interaction programme with the stakeholders on Monday at the NHRC, Magar said the provision to restrict unvaccinated people in the public spheres has impacted their human rights thereby urged the government to ensure vaccine to all.
Chair Magar also instructed the concerned stakeholders to pay attention to ensure drugs including Citamol, manage the flows of people in the border areas and consider possibility of increased number of cases due to crowds while implementing odd and even system in the public vehicles.
Stating that Omicron variant of corona virus has rapidly spread, the NHRC held consultations with Secretary of Ministry of Health and Population Dr Roshan Pokharel and joint-secretaries.
On the occasion, discussions were held on the government plans to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic, hospital’s capacity, odd and even system announced in the public transportation, booster shot, access to people on supply of essential goods and controlling artificial shortage of drugs.
