Discipline is central to communist party, Prachanda says
CPN (Maoist Centre) chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said a communist party won’t remain as a communist force until the party discipline was followed adding that leaders breaching the party discipline are subject to action.
Chair Prachanda said those whoever going against the party rules would be booked adding that Maoist Centre will no longer exist as a communist party if the wrongdoers were not punished. Dahal said so while receiving a report submitted by a panel formed by the CPN (Maoist Centre) to study the intraparty betrayal and desertion that occurred in the May 13 local level polls.
The panel has recommended actions to some leaders for the betrayal in the local level polls especially in the district of Tarai districts. The panel led by party leader Tanka Rai had interviewed more than 500 leaders and cadres of the CPN (Maoist Cetnre) across the country to assess the intraparty betrayal in the polls that led poor performance of the party in the local polls. Other leaders in the panel were Khimlal Devkota and Mukti Pradhan.
